One Angry Man

BIO

Lee J. Cobb was born Leo Jacoby, on December 8, 1911 in New York, NY.

Lee J. Cobb was an excellent actor who usually played loud-mouthed, boorish bad guys, though later in his carreer he would be cast as the patriarchal figure. He created the role of 'Willy Loman' in the Broadway production of "Death Of A Salesman".

His most memorable performance was as Juror #3 in "12 Angry Men", where he even stole Henry Fonda's limelight.

His own favourite performance was the father in "The Brothers Karamazov", but also made lasting impressions in films like "On The Waterfront", "Coogan's Bluff", "Northside 777", "The Exorcist", and "Party Girl", to name but a few from his enormous reportoire.

Having been bald from an early age, he always performed with toupets, some more convincing then others...

He died February 11, 1976
